About Wayne

Wayne Labs is currently Senior Contributing Technical Editor at Food Engineering magazine, where he has published several hundred articles since 2007.

Author Wayne Labs is an electrical engineer specializing in radio communications; he holds a commercial General (First Class) Radio Telephone license from the FCC.

For the last 30-plus years, he has been a technical editor and writer for industrial automation companies and magazines, including I&CS (Control Solutions), CONTROL, Control Design, Electronic Design and Food Engineering, where he is still a contributing technical editor. Labs has also exhibited photography in community art shows and has served as a part-time commercial photographer. He operated his darkroom before the days of digital photography and has also been involved in prepress operations for magazines and books.
